Baby Colic Relief
On this page you should find some products which could provide some relief for baby colic, baby colic is a very common condition in young babies, with as many as 1 in 5 babies in the UK suffering with colic in their first month. Baby colic usually goes away anywhere between 3 - 6 months. It is uncertain what causes baby colic but it is believed that it could most likely be a build up of trapped wind in your baby's bowel which causes discomfort and pain.
The main symptom of baby colic is the bouts of inconsolable crying for no reason eg. no raise in your baby's temperature, your baby is not hungry or in need of a nappy change or over-tired. The bouts of crying usually begin in the late afternoon - evening, you may also notice that your baby draws their knees up to their chest, becomes red in the face and may have a swollen/bloated tummy. Although baby colic can be very distressing for the family it is important to remember that baby colic is not a serious condition and your baby will grow out of it soon, even though it doesn't feel like its ever going to end at the time!!!
